Children's Swim Lessons
Our staff of Red Cross certified instructors teaches swimming with a focus on fun and safety. We offer lessons based on Red Cross Levels 1-6 for children ages 3 1/2 and up. We also offer parent/child water adjustment classes for ages 8 months and up.
Classes are 30 minutes long and are offered in sessions of 10.
Registration Begins January 7th for Session 1 classes

Levels and Requirements
- Dynamic Duos– A water adjustment course with parental involvement. Children can be as young as 6 months and as old as 3 1/2 years.
- Level 1 – Children must be at least 3 1/2 years old to participate in this level. The goal in this class is to teach children to be comfortable working in the water without the help of a flotation device.
- Level 2- Children entering this level should be able to submerge their face and be relaxed and comfortable with performing supported back and front floats and kicking.
- Level 3- Children entering this level should be comfortable with submerging their heads, as well as floating unsupported on their backs and fronts.
- Level 4- Children entering this level should be able to swim 10 yards of backstroke and front crawl with rotary breathing.
- Level 5- Children entering this level should be able to swim 25 yards of backstroke and front crawl without stopping.
- Level 6- Children entering this level should be able to swim at least 50 yards of backstroke and front crawl. They should also know the basics of breaststroke, sidestroke and butterfly.
