Progress up the mountain
- Teams log their time by submitting a Team Member Progress Form by noon on Tuesdays and Fridays. This means that on Tuesday you will submit your hours for the previous Friday, Sat., Sun. and Mon., and on Friday you will submit your hours for the previous Tues., Wed. and Thurs.
- Teams should submit with their name, team name, a list of the activities, and the hours spent doing them.
- Teams can progress only as fast as the slowest member – you are roped together remember!
- Hours can be stockpiled
For example: If Team member A records 6 hours, B records 2 and C records 1.5, the team will move forward 1.5 hours. A and B’s extra hours will not disappear they may be used in later progress, or in other required activities such as shoveling out the tent in a storm. At the end of the game their will be special recognition for the most selfless player, the one who devotes the most hours towards supporting their teammates.
Check your progress
- Team members can see their updated progress Tues. & Fri. by checking the progress page.
- See last year's results page
- The big picture will be posted in Grant Hall Lobby- you can view your and other teams positions on the route
Route Hazard
- Teams will encounter various weather conditions which may affect their progress as they move up the mountain. Weather is set ahead of time and will be the same for all participants.
- Every Tues. & Fri. @ 11am teams will spin the hazard wheel (wheel will be operated by an impartial random spinner in case of no team representative!) to find out whether their travel goes smoothly or whether they have to deal with problems such as equipment failure, crevasse falls or altitude sickness.
